HADPRE facilitated, through the support of Dr Else Kroener Fresenius Stiftung and Hilfswerk Austria International, the installation of a new generator, the reparation of the electrical system and the payment of the surgeon’s salary for the Hospital in St Louis du Nord in Northwestern Haiti. These activities will ensure the continuation of its operation. This institution is the only Hospital in the region to provide reliable surgical and gynecological services 24/7 to a population of over 130,000 people. HADPRE also ensured that the currently installed streetlights, schools and public buildings under its umbrella received sufficient electricity and kept running.
HADPRE enabled the biggest youth career fair in Haiti through the PUSH program. Over 150 recent college grads were able to interact with over 20 employers in different sectors in Haiti for employment and internship opportunities.
HADPRE sponsored the annual holiday Christmas party for the Institution Mixte Union des Apôtres (IMUA) school located in Cite Soleil, the biggest slum in the western hemisphere. Over 500 students received a gift and children and parents alike had a great time and were able to forgot the stress and the worries of everyday life for some time during the celebration.
